SAKI CITY DISTRICT

 

Location: Russian Federation, Southern Federal District, Republic of Crimea.

Area – 29 km2 (0,1% of the total territory of the republic).

Population – 24,7 thousand people.

Distance from the city of Simferopol – 45 km.

The city district is located on the Western coast of the Crimean Peninsula on the shore of the Kalamitsky Bay in the southern part of the Saki district, near the border with Simferopol district, 4-5 km from the Black sea coast. Region is located at the junction of the Tarkhankut-Evpatoria and Almina plains. The city is bordered on the South-East by Orekhovsky rural settlement, on the South-West by the Kalamitsky Bay of the Black sea. The main transport links of the city are carried out on the regional highway of state significance Simferopol-Yevpatoria.

Industry specialization of the region: sanatorium and resort sphere, industrial complex.

The city is widely known as the oldest balneotherapetic health resort of world significance. The main wealth of the region is Saki silt-sulfide mud, underground mineral water, salt-water (brine) Saki lake, beach resources of the resort.

Also in the city, research and production enterprises of the chemical industry operate: PJSC NPO "Yodobrom" – production of iodine, bromine and their derivatives, organobromic compounds, flame retardants; development and manufacture of non-standardized equipment made of titanium; LLC NPP "Technoyod" - research and development in the field of technical sciences.

There are 53 cultural heritage sites on the territory of Saki, including 21 cultural heritage sites listed in the register of cultural heritage, as well as a park-monument of landscape art of local significance, the museum of local history and mud treatment of Saki, the Public Museum of Crimean Tatar culture, the International center for experimental archeology of the Greek-Scythian settlement "Kara-Tobe".

  • creation and development of a mobile concrete production plant in Saki, using advanced technologies, total investment volume of RUB 47.5 million;
  • creation and development of a construction organization through capital investment in the purchase of construction equipment, construction machinery and other fixed assets, the total investment volume is RUB 16.9 million.

Investment in education

In Saki city district, the reconstruction of the municipal budget preschool educational institution "Kindergarten No. 13 "Svetlachok" is being carried out, the investment volume: RUB 425.3 million.

 

Investment in healthcare and tourism

In the region, it is planned to introduce a tourist and recreational cluster "Medical and health recreation", for which 7,1 billion rubles of Federal budget funds are provided for the objects of supporting infrastructure, which, in turn, according to experts, will attract up to 60 billion rubles of private investment.

 

Investment in housing and communal services

In the municipal formation, as part of the creation of the tourist and recreational cluster "Medical and wellness recreation", it is planned to build sewage treatment plants with the use of new processing technologies with a capacity of 25 thousand cubic meters/day.
