Andrey Ryumshin: Crimean farmers have already gathered about 300 tons of strawberries
Crimean farmers have already gathered about 300 tons of open and closed ground garden strawberries. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers − Minister of agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Ryumshin.
«The area of berry crops in the Republic of Crimea this year is more than 107 hectares. Compared to last year, the area has been increased by 10 hectares. Crimean farmers are engaged in growing berries of open ground on an area of more than 85 hectares, closed − more than 22 hectares», commented Deputy Prime Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea also added that the berry harvesting campaign is taking place in Bakhchisaray, Dzhankoy, Krasnoperekopsky, Krasnogvardeysky, Leninsky, Chernomorsky, Sovetsky, Saki, Razdolnensky, Nizhnegorsky, Pervomaysky, Kirov and Simferopol districts.
«Today, the leading producers of strawberries are Krasnogvardeysky, Leninsky, Bakhchisaray districts. The largest harvest was gathered at such enterprises as «Crimean fruit company» JSC − 120 tons, «Yagodnaya Polyana» LLC − 90 tons, and «Sweet Strawberry» LLC − 45 tons», said Andrey Ryumshin.
