Annual Investment Form Held in St Petersburg
Nikolay Saprunov, Director General of Crimea Development Corporation attended the Annual Investment Forum in St Petersburg. Key topics covered during this two-day business event included the issues concerning creation of a favorable investment climate in Russia, development of public-private partnership projects, as well as stimulation of import substitution and creative clusters.
The Forum attendees discussed development of technology and industrial parks, as well as industrial clusters. Today 49 industrial parks have been created in the Russian Federation and 12 more are in the implementation phase. Approximately 3,000 high-tech enterprises are allocated on their territory. In addition to this number, there are 120 industrial parks in operation and 68 more are being constructed. Their residents include the representatives of 51 Russian regions and 33 world countries.
"According to the data of 2017, 238 large projects in Russia are being implemented by foreign investors. We haven't seen such figures since 2010. Such trends prove that in spite of negative effect of sanctions, they want to work with Russia," said Nikolay Saprunov.
Regional development institutions told about their work and presented statistical values at runtime. Due to implementation of fast-track mechanisms of construction documents execution and well-organized work of government authorities, resource-supplying organizations and business, the region managed to climb up over a hundred positions in the investment climate rating by Agency for Strategic Initiatives just in one year, and another year later St Petersburg was ranked among ten regions with the most favorable investment climate.
Besides, Andrey Chibis, Deputy Minister for Construction and Housing and Utilities Sector of the Russian Federation – a federal government agency.
It is to be reminded that the St Petersburg delegation will take part in the anniversary Yalta International Economic Forum.
