The Crimean Government Told about Forecasts of Wage Growth in the Region
The report of the Ministry of Economic Development of Republic of Crimea "Concerning the Forecast for the Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea for the Upcoming 2019 and Planning Period 2020 and 2021" (a copy of the document is available in the RNS memo) states that according to various scenarios, in 2021 the average monthly nominal wage in Crimea will be from RUB 33.7 thousand to RUB 34.2 thousand.
"According to various scenarios, the average monthly nominal wage in the Republic in 2019 is expected to be from 30 thousand 400 rubles to 30 thousand 500 rubles, in 2020 – from 32 thousand 100 rubles to 32 thousand 500 rubles, in 2021 – from 33 thousand 700 rubles to 34 thousand 200 rubles," said the document.
The agency also reports that following the results of nine months of 2018, the average monthly wage in Crimea has increased by 12.2% and amounts to RUB 28.6 thousand.
Earlier Maxim Topilin, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, stated that in January–August 2018 wages in Russia had increased by 11% against the same period of the previous year. Later the agency provided a forecast that in 2019 nominal wages in Russia would grow by 6.1%, in 2020 the expected growth would be 5.4%, and in 2021 – 6.6%.
