Trade and the restaurant business have adapted to the changing conditions and continue to recover actively. This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako.

"Retail trade turnover in January-June 2021 increased by 9.2% (by 2.4% compared to 2019). The spheres of public catering and paid services to the population have been fully restored. In comparison with 2019, industry indicators increased by 12.1% and 14.6%, respectively," Dmitry Sheryako said.

In addition, for 6 months of 2021, Crimea received 3.3 million tourists, which is 49% higher than the level of the same period in 2019. As of August 1, the number of people who came on vacation has already exceeded 5 million people.

Due to the responsible attitude of business to all the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, no foci of a new coronavirus infection were recorded in the accommodation facilities.

Tax revenues to the budget from business entities of the sanatorium-resort complex for January-June 2021 amounted to RUB 2,115.2 million, which is 54.9% more than in January-June 2020.

"As a result, the level of remuneration in the restaurant and hotel business increased by 29.8%," the minister added.
