Press-Conference "Development of Russian-Chinese Relationships in the Area of Small and Medium-Sized Business" Held
The press-center of International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya hosted press conference "Development of Russian-Chinese Relationships in the Area of Small and Medium-Sized Business". Speakers of the press-conference were Andrey Kulik, First Deputy Minister for Economic development of the Republic of Crimea, and Andrey Neukrytny, Head of Crimean Regional Branch of Interregional Non-Governmental Organization of Small and Medium-Sized Business New Formation. Besides, the press conference was attended by Sergey Kapitsa, the plenipotentiary representative of New Formation in the People's Republic of China.
The issues discussed at the meeting with journalists included the priority areas for investments of Chinese business in Crimea, opening of "a Russian house" in China for presentation of goods by Russian manufacturers, export capabilities of the Russian goods, effect of sanctions, and others.
"The peak interest of Chinese businessmen to Crimea was recorded in 2015, and then it slightly dropped. Among other things, it was caused by financial restrictions and impossibility to make payments in US dollars. However, today the activity of Chinese business is growing again," said Andrey Kulik.
Among the most promising areas for cooperation with Chinese partners, the deputy minister mentioned intensive farming, industrial processing of foodstuff providing the ability of export, aquaculture and cooperation in the area of health resort treatment.
In addition, Andrey Kulik noted that business representatives from Italy, Germany, Eastern Europe, and USA implement their business projects in agriculture, catering and foodstuff processing in Crimea.
Besides, the deputy minister added that over 5 years most of the businessmen have adapted to restrictions and are able to minimize the effect of sanctions on their activities.
