The taxation of exchange rate differences for businesses will be simplified

Given the wide amplitude of exchange rate fluctuations, it was decided to take into account only the realized exchange rate differences for 2023.
The head of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, Daniil Egorov, explained that this decision is of great importance for business, since it will not be necessary to take into account positive, but unrealized exchange rate differences.
The work of the business will be simplified by the exchange rate fixed as of February 1. According to Daniil Egorov, it will also be used to calculate income tax. The measure was taken to protect the company from the negative consequences of currency fluctuations.
