Construction of a fruit storage facility with refrigerators for 15,000 tons with a controlled gas environment in petrovka village of krasnogvardeysky district
CONSTRUCTION OF A FRUIT STORAGE FACILITY WITH REFRIGERATORS FOR 15,000 TONS WITH A CONTROLLED GAS ENVIRONMENT IN PETROVKA VILLAGE OF KRASNOGVARDEYSKY DISTRICT
Within the investment project, a fruit storage facility was built, which uses the most modern storage technologies allowing to save apples without losing quality almost from the moment of harvesting to the new harvest, and up to 15,000 tons of products can be can simultaneously stored in the chambers with controlled gas environment. The investor arranged a full production cycle – from growing fruits to storing them.
The estimated area of the fruit storage project is 2.8 hectares.
At the enterprise:
- there are 2 sorting lines — for 18 tons/hour and 4.5 tons/hour;
- a filling line with a capacity of 4 tons/hour has been launched;
- a drip irrigation system is used, which is very important in the conditions of the Crimea;
- a storage pond with a volume of 500 thousand m3 has been built, the company uses four such ponds in total.

The main activity of Crimean Fruit Company JSC is the production and sale of fruits and seedlings.
The Crimean Fruit Company was established on the basis of the Druzhba Narodov collective farm of the Order of Lenin in 2003 and is represented by five branches:
- Petrovskoe;
- Alexandrovskoe;
- Zvezdnoe;
- Sakskoe;
- Bakhchisaraiskoe.
The number of staff is 1200 people, 100 additional jobs were created. The average age of specialists is 32 years.
The farm is located on an area of more than 6000 hectares, of which about 1500 hectares are planted with orchards.
Apple orchards are located on an area of 200 hectares. A hail net has been installed on the territory, which protects the fruits from hail, sunburn and birds.
The Crimean fruit company specializes in growing apples – this is our main crop! The traditional ones are everyone's favorite Golden and Simirenko apples, etc., which can be purchased at the Distribution Center. Peaches, nectarines, apricots, pears, cherry, black cherry and strawberry are also grown.
The harvested products are distributed both in the territory of Crimea and throughout mainland Russia.
The company collects up to 33,000 tons of apples a year!
Apples are stored in their cold rooms and therefore the fresh product is available to everyone until the next harvest!
